It's wonderful to be back!
As 2025 comes to a close, I approach 2026 with an empty bottle of rum in hand.
2025 was a year of significant change. It all seemed to happen within a year.
This year has brought major changes in both my personal life and career.
In my last post around December, I mentioned that I was now on the Isle of Lewis.
Well, I'm still here!
I'm seriously considering moving here if I can overcome a few minor obstacles.
I need to determine if I can live here independently.
I have cerebral palsy. Imagine using a wheelchair in the Outer Hebrides with 70 mph winds. I've decided to start a channel, which will be up and running within the year.
The project is called Wheelchair Adventures. It's about places where wheelchair users typically shouldn't go!
It will be a series of clips that document my journey.
The Isle of Lewis is rich in art and history.
I hope to establish a painting studio here to create and sell my work. People from all over the world visit this island. Ben Fogle made a documentary about this place, though I wouldn't mind if the Atlantic consumed him before his own self-importance does.
Nevertheless, it's a great documentary.
My current residence is near a small art gallery, which is perfect. I will eventually write about the galleries on the isle. Many artists are here because the beautiful landscapes dominate the scenery. I just hope I can become part of it.
The inspiration here is abundant, from waterfalls to beaches, wildlife, and lochs.
This place has many layers to it which I intend to explore. This is truly a magical and mythical place. I wonder what kind of work I will produce in the future. Here is a look at some local artists if you click the link below.
Cheers and God bless
